Marshall Young is a fully qualified field guide and tour guide with a wide knowledge of the Fauna and Flora of South Africa. You will be overwhelmed with his knowledge of people places and history throughout the country. His attention to detail and his outgoing nature makes him an excellent guide.

Chris Kruger is a professional wildlife and safari guide and has been guiding safaris and tours throughout Southern Africa for the last 13 years. He has made more than 100 trips to 7 African countries – South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique, Swaziland and Zimbabwe. His focus is on wildlife and its impact it has on the environment and the local community.

Memory Khumalo is Zimbabwean born and has lived in South Africa for the last 12 years. A culture vulture he has a most wonderful personality and leads most of our family and school educational tours because of his rapport with kids. He is an expert on the Kruger Park, Swaziland and Kwa Zulu Natal as well as a top cultural guide.

Dumi Joined African Outposts as a driver .With his outgoing nature and sense of humour soon reassured us to train him as a guide, putting him through the stringent course. He is now a qualified guide and leads many day tours.

Jan Jurgens is the Chief Guide for African Outposts as well as the compay's Operations Manager. A fully qualified field guide, Jan is one of only 16 people approved by the National Parks Board to conduct game walks in the Kruger National park. His knowledge of wildlife, the bush and conservation is both detailed and extensive, as many who have enjoyed his insights and knowledge will attest. A born teacher, Jan takes great pride and pleasure in making every experience a memorable one for his guests. He is married and has a young son.
