For those energetic visitors, our walking safaris provide an opportunity of a lifetime
to experience the intimacy of the bush at close quarters.

Kruger Park and Shawu Walking Safari

DAY 1:
Depart from Johannesburg with your highly qualified environmental guide for the Kruger Park. Entering at Malelane gate, enjoy a game drive en-route to Shawu camp, situated in a wilderness area of the Kruger Park. On arrival enjoy a light lunch before departing in an open 4x4 for a game drive. Return for dinner and overnight. (LD)

DAY 2:
An early departure by vehicle with a stop for coffee and then set out on your walk (about 2 ½ hours) to the Shonga camp. You will be accompanied by 2 armed rangers whose qualifications comply with the most stringent of standards. (BLD)

DAY 3:
This morning we walk for a further 2 hours concentrating on the little things, as well as the big animals that inhabit this eco-zone of the Kruger. Return to Shonga for breakfast. After breakfast drive to Shawu and relax on the verandah: the perfect spot to watch game, close up at the adjacent waterhole. After lunch you set out for an afternoon/night drive. Dinner and overnight. (BLD)

DAY 4:
After a morning drive and breakfast at Shawu you will depart back to Johannesburg where your safari ends. (B)
